Greetings John Lewis Elementary,
It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction as the Assistant Principal of Instruction at John Lewis Elementary School. I am honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with a community with such a rich tradition of education! Over the past 27 years, I have worked with a variety of students ranging in age from Kindergarten through 12th grade and including college. In addition to role as Assistant Principal at John Lewis, I am an adjunct professor at Clark Atlanta University teaching a variety of courses to students aspiring to be teachers.
During my time at John Lewis Elementary, I have served as the Assistant Principal of Testing. For the past two years, I have served as the Assistant Principal of Instruction. Previously, I worked as a Mathematics Specialist/ Instructional Coach at my former school. I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to John Lewis Elementary School and work with you as a partner in education to ensure academic success for all children.
I earned my Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Clark Atlanta University. I obtained my Bachelor and Master’s degree from the State University of New York College at Cortland in Upstate New York. I hold certifications in Mathematics, Science, ESOL, Academic Coaching, Social Science, Elementary Education K-5, and Educational Leadership.
As we navigate through past years of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I am excited and optimistic to witness how resilient and determined our teachers and students are during this time. This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections.
As we step through the doors of a new and exciting school year, together, we will meet the challenges of academic excellence in an environment where children feel safe to make mistakes and challenged to exceed their expectations.

Es con gran orgullo y emoción que escribo esta carta de presentación como Subdirectora de Instrucción en la Escuela Primaria John Lewis. ¡Me siento honrado de tener la oportunidad de colaborar con una comunidad con una tradición educativa tan rica! Durante los últimos 27 años, he trabajado con una variedad de estudiantes que van desde el jardín de infantes hasta el grado 12 e incluso la universidad. Además de mi papel como subdirector en John Lewis, soy profesor adjunto en la Universidad de Clark Atlanta y enseño una variedad de cursos a estudiantes que aspiran a ser maestros.
Durante mi tiempo en la Escuela Primaria John Lewis, me desempeñé como Subdirectora de Exámenes. Durante los últimos dos años, me he desempeñado como Subdirectora de Instrucción. Anteriormente, trabajé como Especialista en Matemáticas/Entrenador de Instrucción en mi escuela anterior. Estoy emocionada y ansiosa por traer mis habilidades como líder educativa a la Escuela Primaria John Lewis y trabajar con ustedes como socia en educación para asegurar el éxito académico de todos los niños.
Obtuve mi doctorado en Liderazgo Educativo de la Universidad de Clark Atlanta. Obtuve mi licenciatura y maestría de la Universidad Estatal de Cortland en Nueva York. Tengo certificaciones en Matemáticas, Ciencias, ESOL, Entrenamiento Académico, Ciencias Sociales, Educación Primaria K-5 y Liderazgo Educativo.
Mientras navegamos por los año pasado de la pandemia de COVID-19, estoy emocionado y encantado de presenciar cuán resistentes y determinados son nuestros maestros y estudiantes durante este tiempo. Este año va a ser increíble a medida que continuamos brindando experiencias académicas para nuestros estudiantes que son rigurosas, relevantes y los ayudan a construir relaciones mientras hacen conexiones en el mundo real.
